Marvel is heading back to theaters exclusively with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, a movie coming out in the fall that introduces moviegoers to Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), a character called the master of martial arts in Marvel comics.

In this rapid-fire trailer, two things are clear: He is definitely a master and he went through a lot to get there.

A detailed synopsis of the movie's plot isn't yet available, but it obviously presents a superhero who at the beginning of the story is perhaps torn between two worlds -- a normal life with friends -- including Awkwafina -- in San Francisco and a life he apparently left behind in which his training in martial arts sometimes was cruel and abusive in the name of toughening him up.

According to The Verge, Legend of the Ten Rings also brings Marvel movie audiences "the mysterious Ten Rings organization and its true leader, the Mandarin. The Ten Rings have been a figure lurking in the background for the entirety of the MCU, first introduced in 2008’s Iron Man (and notably spoofed by a copy-cat group in Iron Man 3), but Shang-Chi promises to reveal the actual group for the first time."

Production of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic but unlike some other blockbusters, it won't premiere simultaneously on Disney Plus -- Marvel is determined to open only in theaters. 

Look for it to hit a theater near you on September 3, 2021.

Jake Paul just proved he can dominate a world-class athlete in the ring with a first-round knockout of former UFC fighter and ONE champ Ben Askren. Now he's targeting one of the biggest names in combat sports history: Conor McGregor. 

The social media star and blossoming boxer has flirted with the idea of taking on the Irish brawler for months now. 

After he savagely knocked out ex-New York Knick Nate Robinson, he challenged McGregor to a $50 million bout in an outlandishly disrespectful Instagram video. Now that he's handily beaten a real mixed martial artist, he believes the McGregor fight is closer to fruition. 

"Honestly, when it comes down to signing the contract, these guys duck. Honestly, we’ll see," Paul said in post-match interview, per Bro Bible. "The McGregor fight just became more realistic, like I’ve been saying. I just want to do big fights."

Evidently, Paul believes he's earned the right to only take opponents with drawing power. 

"Ben Askren was a step up," he said. "OK, look what happened (in) 1:59. We’ll see who the next big challenge is. I don’t want to take some bullsh*t sh*t. I want to challenge myself. I want to do 3 million, 4 million pay-per-view buys. Who’s going to bring in those numbers?”

McGregor is paying attention. According to Sport Bible, he recently said he's "certainly a viewer" of YouTube boxing scene. 

"If they are fighting well then it can't make a mockery of fighting. They're getting in and competing. I am not so much against it," he said in reference to the Mike Tyson/Roy Jones Jr. card, which included Paul vs. Robinson.

"What I will say though is the numbers that that show calculated was a Mike Tyson fight. You had an icon fighting as well as Roy Jones Jnr, two GOATs [greatest of all time] of combat sports. And then you had the YouTube kid and NBA star competing underneath that. So they done good business."

If not McGregor, Paul also briefly called out Nate Diaz on Twitter, predicting a third-round KO of the rugged UFC veteran. 

Whether he's ready to handle serious UFC strikers is up for debate, but one thing's for sure: Paul is a seriously talented self promoter.

If Matthew McConaughey ever decides winning an Oscar and an Emmy just wasn't enough for him when it comes to accomplishments, he could likely just become governor of the one state that was for a time a sovereign nation.

That's one takeaway from a surprising poll showing that in a race for governor of Texas, the actor would pretty much flatten the competition, including current Republican governor Greg Abbott

From the Dallas Morning News:

If he were to take the plunge and run for governor, the poll found, 45% of Texas registered voters would vote for McConaughey, 33% would vote for Abbott and 22% would vote for someone else.

McConaughey’s double-digit lead over the two-term Republican incumbent is significant. The poll, conducted April 6-13, surveyed 1,126 registered voters and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 2.92 percentage points.

The poll was conducted by the Morning News and the University of Texas at Tyler. Like another surprising celeb, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, McConaughey hasn't rejected the idea of running for office at all. As the paper notes, the actor "has teased political pundits and TV talk show hosts with musings that he might enter politics in his home state."

Neither Johnson nor McConaughey have been explicit regarding their personal party affiliations, but a closer look at the results for the latter clearly indicates which side of the political spectrum might help him take office should he choose to run one day. No matter how he votes when he steps in the booth, it's clear that people who lean left would be open to a Governor McConaughey.

The poll determined that 56% of Republican voters would still back the state's current governor. Only 30% would support McConaughey. At least 66% of Democrat-voting respondents would vote McConaughey -- and 44% of Independents would support the actor's gubernatorial ambitions.

Following the controversial presidency of a former reality TV star, however, the idea of Matthew McConaughey in higher office was greeted with skepticism on social media.

Even if they might agree with McConaughey's politics, some on the left were concerned by the poll, namely because they think former congressman and presidential aspirant Beto O'Rourke is a better choice.

McConaughey hasn't responded directly to this poll but he's doing things you might expect from, well, a political candidate, or at least a pundit. Like interviewing Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Ultimately actors like Matthew McConaughey and Dwayne Johnson face a choice between maintaining a fairly broad base of fans with all manner of political affiliations and essentially choosing sides. 

For famous people pulling in a ton of money, possibly alienating a huge chunk of fandom is not an easy choice to make.

The first time I had the opportunity to test drive a Rolls-Royce, the event played out over an afternoon in Scottsdale, Ariz. behind the wheel of the Wraith. After arriving at a luxury hotel within sight of Camelback Mountain, a Rolls-Royce executive with the kind of geometrically cut pocket square that only comes with a suit cut on Savile Row welcomed me into a conference room and described the world of Rolls-Royce automobiles.

Rolls-Royce doesn’t consider any car builder to be a competitor. That makes sense as they’re the automaker other product realms use to describe the best of the best. You’ll hear some million-dollar house on wheels called the “Rolls-Royce of Motorhomes.” The ever-present AK-47 and its eternally reliable design is often called “the Rolls-Royce of machine guns.” You get the idea.

As a result of its exclusivity, Rolls-Royce defines its own product category. It’s ultra-luxury, exclusive, bespoke and created to transport the blessed buyer in the car’s own dimension of total comfort. Their assemblages protect and elevate drivers above and beyond the pavement. They’re mobile fortresses of solitude and dignity.

That well-dressed executive back in Arizona made a couple points very clear. First, while it’s fair to describe any Rolls-Royce model as a super luxury car, they are not super cars in the performance since. The word “performance” is frowned up in general. Rolls-Royce creations are not sports cars. Such machines are rough and impudent. Call RR-logo’d, gas-powered royalty a sports car, and a team from England will take the cane down from the cupboard, fly to you and give you a jolly good thrashing.

Designs like the all-new Rolls-Royce Ghost exist to rise above not just average cars but common descriptions like “performance” and “sporty.” Designed with deliberately simplified aesthetics externally and filled with seemingly limitless artificial intelligence within, it’s a car that ascends beyond common concepts of four-wheeled transport.

A 12-cylinder, 6.75-liter engine provides 563 horsepower and a top speed of 155 mph to leave lesser humans behind, but you won’t hear much of that fuss because the industry’s best soundproofing keeps the exhaust notes at bay. The driving experience is transcendental as the well-muscled suspension and counter-balancing rear wheels kill off understeer while nullifying any guff broken pavement might provide.

If there’s a haughty quibble to make with the Ghost’s interior (…and I can’t imagine any other breed of quibble that might be appropriate for such a car…), it would be a throwback to that Wrath I mentioned earlier. Both that spectral model and its haunting 2021 sister have between 800 to 1,600 hand-installed pin lights built into the roof to present a simulated night sky overheard wherever the unworthy road takes the Ghost.

That feature never fit the two ton-plus stacks of elegance that come out of Goodwood, UK. Lights in the roof seem more appropriate for a limo you take to prom – not a $370,000 base MSRP super luxury car. 

Still, buyers of the Ghost seem uninterested in my opinion as many pay thousands of dollars to have those penlights arranged into their favorite constellations or perhaps the night sky overhead at the times and places of their births.

In the end, Rolls-Royce doesn’t make it easy – not on their intimidated would-be competitors, and not on reviewers. They make a machine like The Ghost that provides pure driving pleasure with absolute precision and total technological competence.

They manage to upgrade the perfection of that experience into the realm of hyper cars with seemingly unlimited power and utterly grounded handling. They even smooth out and simplify the traditional Rolls-Royce lines on the Ghost to give it a smoother, yet more aggressive stance.

Still, I’m not supposed to use words like sporty or performance to express how much I enjoyed the sublime hours spent driving the Ghost. So, I’ll just leave it at that and head outside to count the pinholes in the sky.

The Goodtime Hotel—the first collaborative lifestyle hotel brand from Miami hospitality guru David Grutman and pop superstar Pharrell Williams—just opened its doors in South Beach.

The 266-room property promises an escapist atmosphere through its reimagined Art Deco aesthetic, which unwinds over a whopping 100,000 square feet of public space. 

The Goodtime Hotel stands in a central, historic section of South Beach along the neighborhood’s famed Washington Avenue. To enter the property, guests are guided through a sprawling, airy atrium, and once inside, welcomed by hand-painted hothouse murals, Deco plasterwork, and playful elements masterminded by famed designer, Ken Fulk.

The vibe feels nostalgically opulent and very Miami Art Deco, which is emphasized by the resort’s color choices—a playful palette of peach and green—and cheeky design touches throughout each space.

Inside, the standout shared space is the natural oak library, which, according to Willliams, was inspired by Wes Anderson's iconic The Royal Tenenbaums character, Margot Tenenbaum.

The library, intended as a multi-purpose space for coffee or cocktails, is festooned in tones of pink with quirky details such as animal lamps, pineapple-motif cocktail tables, rotary dial phones and tufted sofas. Grutman and Williams wanted it to feel absolutely impossible to not feel happy upon entering.

The lobby

The hotel's indoor-outdoor restaurant is dubbed Strawberry Moon, named for the lunar phase before summer solstice. The full-service restaurant and bar offers Mediterranean cuisine day-to-night with an array of festive cocktails, and is the true centerpiece of the property. The restaurant is outfitted in a Miami Vice palette of pinks and teals, with pinstripe awnings, scalloped chairs, and wicker light fixtures.

The restaurant leads right to the extensive rooftop deck which stretches across an entire acre, highlighted by two parallel pools tiled in pink and white and surrounded by lush cabanas, lounge chairs, an outdoor bar and a pathway of palm sculptures.

Grutman—who owns Miami celebrity-favorite nightclubs LIV and Story, and restaurants Komodo, Swan and Papi Steak—is excited to translate his expertise in nightlife and entertainment to his new stay-and-play resort. 

To no surprise, the opening week has already drawn celebrities like superstar deejay David Guetta and more. When asked what we could expect in terms of programming both at the pool and Strawberry Moon, Grutman countered, “Come on, it’s us.”

“We want The Goodtime Hotel to impart a feeling of both revitalization and that rare, exciting thrill that takes over when you discover something special,” says Williams. 

“It’s that adrenaline-fueled sensation of entering a whole new setting and a whole new mindset. This place will provide a natural good time, for all who come through.”

Guest rooms range from Queen bed accommodations to suites, boasting direct views west to Biscayne Bay or east to the Atlantic Ocean, guaranteeing Instagram-worthy sunrise and sunsets. 

Each of The Goodtime Hotel’s rooms come complete with custom bedding, bespoke drapes (including a blackout option, in the event you need a few more hours to recharge), leopard-print benches, Sicilian Ortigia bath amenities, and a leopard print bathrobe. Throughout guest corridors, a carpet woven with mock wet footprints evokes the playful charm of Miami Beach.

Like Hennessey Performance did with the RAM TRX-based "Mammoth," the new and classic Bronco specialists are installing an extra axle and two wheels to the recently relaunched off-roader. Renders show that it also boasts third row of seating and a menacing all-matte-black paint job. 

No additional specs were provided, but Motor 1 wisely predicts that the engine will need an output-increasing overhaul, or even a transplant. Ford's current most powerful factory Bronco offering is a twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 that's tuned to produce 310 hp and 400 pound-feet of torque, which ain't gonna cut it. 

One of the Motor City automaker's Coyote V8s would make sense, whether it be one of the 5.4-liters used in F-Series trucks or the supercharged 5.2-liter Coyote V8 that serves up 760 horsepower in the Mustang Shelby GT500.

What can you say about a boxing match that doesn't even last a full round? That's what happened in the heavily promoted matchup between Youtuber Jake Paul and former UFC fighter Ben Askren, which took place Saturday as the main event at the Triller Fight Club. 

In fact, it didn't even last a full minute. Askren barely connected if at all, and Paul took him out with a hard right. Askren recovered quickly from the knockdown but the referee ended it anyway, even as Askren tried to go on.

That was it. The whole thing.

After the match, Paul said, "I deserved that shit." 

"This is the craziest moment of my life," he continued, "I told y'all I was going to do it in the first round. I told y'all I'm a real fighter. I don't know how many times I got to prove myself that this is for real."

Paul dedicated his fight to a member of his security team who recently passed away. "This has been the hardest 10 days of my life," he said regarding the death, "I've had to hold it together to keep this fight going. I'm just honored to be here."

Jake Paul is now 3-0 in his pro boxing career, having already defeated YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA pro Nate Robinson

Ben Askren tweeted an apology -- sort of -- after his loss.

Social media reaction to the fight was mixed between fans of Paul celebrating the victory and other viewers who pretty much thought the whole thing was a farce.

The best commentary, however, probably came from Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson, who acted as a fight correspondent throughout the event. Here's just a partial list of some of his best lines, via Yahoo Sports:

  • "Today is a really wild day for boxing, because it just shows just how low it's truly sunk."
  • "I think today proves the fact that if you have enough followers, you can truly fucking do whatever you want. Maybe PewDiePie will cure cancer, and Charlie D'Amelio will become a surgeon. Who knows?"

A chaotic viral clip of a man throwing an attacking bobcat has been viewed millions of times across social media platforms. Twitter user Sada casually described the panicked scene as a "wild 46 seconds," a caption that caught the attention of nearly 7.5 million viewers and counting. 

As Newsweek notes, the video begins with an unidentified man walking to his car in what appears to be a typical suburban neighborhood. He says "good morning" to a passing jogger. Seconds later, a bobcat sprints into frame and towards the car. 

The man's wife briefly appears before she's immediately attacked from behind. She and the ferocious feline exchange shrieks, and she frantically yells, "Oh my god! Run, Happy, run!” leading many to believe the man’s nickname is “Happy."

Rather than running, the husband pulls the bobcat off his wife and throws it onto the grass. But the creature then runs back toward the family, at which point the man pulls out a concealed pistol and yells, "Watch out, I'll shoot that f**cker!"  

Multiple outlets report that the video was originally posted to TikTok, where it amassed at least 5 million views before it was removed for violating the platform's anti-violence policy. 

Many believe the animal was rabid. Internet sleuths have linked the incident to the following statement from the Pender County, North Carolina Sheriff's Office, which seems to corroborate that theory:  

"There has been a positive case of rabies discovered in your neighborhood. On April 9, 2021, a bobcat was killed in the area around Creekside Subdivision in Burgaw. It was submitted for testing at the NC State Laboratory and our department has been notified this bobcat was positive for rabies."

Fortunately, another Twitter user who claims to be familiar with the family said they're alive, well, and vaccinated for rabies, according to the New York Post

Showstopping supermodel Maggie Rawlins is one of those rare women who’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Her features are soft and angelic; shimmering flaxen hair framing rosy, pillowy lips and mesmerizing lash-fringed green eyes. Paired with her perfect curves that could only have been modeled on Venus herself, Rawlins is the epitome of perfection. 

As you’d expect from a sweet southern belle from Greenville, South Carolina, this blonde bombshell is as humble and lighthearted as they come. There’s a delightfully mellow aura about her that’s warm and inviting, making her that much more magnetic. And you can tell from her quiet elegance that there’s nothing artificial about her. 

In her Instagram feed, she brings to her 260,000-plus fans the things she values most in life: Her friends, family, and her two dogs. With the addition, of course, of the occasional and very welcome steamy bikini picture.

Years of experience in the modeling industry have shaped her cherubic visage, but Rawlins is more than just a pretty face. She’s a woman of many talents, who, before finding fame as a model, found joy in nursing—and was no doubt one of the most stunning the medical field has ever seen. 

“I graduated from nursing school, passed the NCLEX, and landed my dream job in Charleston as a hematology-oncology nurse,” she says of her pre-modeling days. It’s hard not to imagine her sending patients’ pulses racing with a simple smile. 

“My grandmother was a nurse and I always admired her for that. As a kid I loved the stories she would tell us. I think she was the one who initially inspired me to go on to nursing.”

How, you may ask, did she make the jump from scrubs to swimsuits? Well, Rawlins had a close encounter with the modeling world when she was scouted on social media at the tender age of 18, but passed on the offer to focus on her education and build a secure future for herself. “I was in high school and didn’t think too much of it. Honestly, I thought it was some kind of scam,” she explains. 

As she was finishing up her nursing degree, the scouts tried once more. “In my last semester of college the same modeling agency reached back out to me,” she says. This time, with her degrees  under her belt, the prospect of modeling was too tempting to pass up. “I kept thinking about the possibility of modeling and really just was curious.”

Her supportive environment had a hand in her decision as well. “I spoke with my nurse manager about it after a while, and she told me to go give it a shot and that I could always come back to nursing. I’m forever grateful to her.” 

It was then that Rawlins signed with the modeling powerhouse The Lions and climbed the ranks quickly. Now 28 and just a few short years into her glamorous new career, she’s modeled for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Intimissimi, and Sports Illustrated, and has graced the glossy covers and pages of high-profile fashion magazines.

A self-proclaimed tomboy in her youth, Rawlins had a great example to take notes from. “I have an older brother who I look up to so much, and as a kid, I copied everything he did. We grew up playing sports and spent most of our time outside and weekends out on the water.” 

That cool and easygoing lifestyle seems to have followed her into adulthood. Despite her rise to fame, Rawlins is down-to-earth and has mastered the art of savoring the simple things in life. “I’m happiest at home,” she muses. “The more places I go and the more people I meet, the more grateful I am for my family and the slower pace of life in Charleston.” Even her workout routine of pilates and a refreshing morning walk is as laid-back as she is. 

Her guiltiest pleasure? Shoutout to her favorite joint from back home: “There’s a BBQ spot in Charleston called Home Team. I’m obsessed with their nachos,” she exclaims. “That’s my go-to spot for a cheat meal and a cold beer.” 

When the coronavirus pandemic hit last March and the U.S. went into lockdown, Rawlins went to her home base in Charleston to be with her family. But as it became apparent that New York was one of the hardest-hit states, she pulled her scrubs out of retirement, dusted off her stethoscope, and returned to the city to fight COVID-19 on the frontlines. 

“It was a no-brainer for me to go back to nursing during the pandemic. I wanted to give back to the city that has been a second home to me. I truly feel that everyone has a part to play and I felt like it was my responsibility to help out where I could,” she explains humbly. “It was one of those situations where you kind of just hit the ground running.” 

She notes that it was only a brief three-week nursing assignment, but during a pandemic, no effort is too small. “Our frontline workers are still there making sacrifices every single day, and those people are the true heroes.” 

Her humanitarian efforts aren’t just limited to pandemics, though. Even with her busy modeling schedule, Rawlins still makes time to volunteer as a triage nurse for OneWorld Health—a nonprofit organization that provides affordable healthcare to underserved communities—and encourages her fans to become involved. “Being a model has given me such a platform to raise awareness to causes I’m passionate about, and I’m so grateful for that.” 

At this point, you might be wondering: How would one sweep a perfect 10 like Rawlins off her feet? The answer is simple: “I love a good conversation,” she says. “I’m so attracted to someone with good morals and values. Manners are important!” There’s that southern belle again.

Regrettably for suitors however, Rawlins is taken. Sorry, gentlemen. The lucky man in question is her husband George, whom she’s known since childhood. “We actually grew up right across the street from each other! We didn’t start dating until I was in my last year of nursing school, though. He’s four years older than me, which felt like a lifetime when we were younger.” 

When it comes to the future, her plans are as sweet and wholesome as she is. “I imagine I’ll be in Charleston with George and the pups. Hopefully still happy, healthy, and content with life.”

Netflix first shared the apocalyptic flick's teaser trailer in February, and now the streamer has dropped the official full-length trailer, which follows star Dave Bautista as he plans the epic Vegas heist—all while scored to Kenny Rogers' classic hit, "The Gambler."

Death & Co.’s Buko Gimlet

From the Death & Co. bar chain and cocktail book empire comes a coconut water sorbet infused with New York Distilling Company’s Dorothy Parker gin, Novo Fogo cachaça, Kalani coconut liqueur, lime and pandan.

Long Island Bar’s Cosmopolitan

This cranberry-lime Cosmo sorbet made with Absolut Citron vodka and Cointreau liqueur isn't inspired by an old episode of Sex and the City, but rather an upgraded version of the 1990s-era cocktail served at Brooklyn's neon-lit Long Island Bar, which has been serving regulars since 1951.

Maybe Sammy’s La Finca 

Sydney's Maybe Sammy mixed up the caffeinated cocktail behind this pint, featuring coffee ice cream infused with Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and Oloroso sherry with gems of Manuka honey.

 Attaboy’s Penicillin 

This Manhattan cocktail den's standout Penicillin cocktail—a winning blend of scotch and honey—influenced this sweet cream whisky ice cream dappled with Dewar’s Blended Scotch and a hint of lemon, honey and candied ginger.

Limantour’s Mr. Pink 

Limantour, a Mexico City swillery known for its taco mix-infused Margarita Al Pastor, goes from savory to sweet with  sweet cream gin ice cream blended with New York Distilling Company’s Dorothy Parker Gin and nuggets of grapefruit sorbet with rosemary, lime, basil and orange bitters.

Two Schmucks’ Strawberry Kush

Perhaps the healthiest-sounding offering in this ice cream capsule is a non-dairy sorbet combining Bacardí Carta Blanca rum with mint, lemon, Angostura Bitters, saline and cardamom. It's a riff on a drink made at Barcelona's critically-acclaimed "five-star dive bar" Two Schmucks.

“I have so much admiration for each of these bars and it’s an honor to be collaborating with them on such a unique project,” OddFellows cofounder Mohan Kumar said in a statement announcing the ice cream capsule.

“Enjoying a world-class cocktail in a beautiful bar is the absolute best, and we wanted to capture that experience and celebrate our hospitality industry peers with this boozy capsule. I’ve had many amazing nights in these bars and I’m excited to be bringing their essence to the nation in ice cream form, giving their fans (and ours) a creative take on something they have not been able to access during the last year."

OddFellows is donating 10% of proceeds from sales of its Boozy Capsule to Another Round Another Rally, a charity providing education and emergency aid to hospitality workers. 

The collection also marks OddFellows’ return to Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. The brand's new flagship Domino Park location aims to be "the first ice cream shop with a happy hour" that focuses on natural wines, local craft beers, and boozy floats and popsicles.

Fast-rising cryptocurrency Dogecoin has hit an all-time high in price, prompting fans of the token to celebrate online.

At approximately 3 a.m. EST on April 14, the Elon Musk and Snoop Dogg-hyped Dogecoin was up more than 85 percent over the past 24 hours and 110 percent over the last week. 

Once considered a jokey, meme-tastic cryptocurrency traded just for laughs, the total value of all Dogecoin in circulation is now estimated at a staggering $17.3 billion, according to Newsweek, which rounded up some of the memes by fans and investors after Dogecoin's surprise rise.

Dogecoin surge may be linked to news that Kronos, a Californian air purification technology firm, purchased 600 million Dogecoin Cash in a cryptocurrency swap.

Dogecoin Cash is not the same as Dogecoin, but the two cryptocurrencies are linked. Dogecoin Cash describes itself as a "community-driven project created by a group of passionate Dogecoin enthusiasts."

Kronos president Michael Rubinov said: "With the growing excitement around Dogecoin Cash, Kronos aggressively accepting Dogecoin as payment, and our popular limited edition air purifier rebranded as AirDOGE, we felt that swapping into Dogecoin Cash was a natural fit."

Meanwhile, Dogecoin is riding a wave of support for cryptocurrency, as trading platform Coinbase Global (COIN) made its stock market debut on the Nasdaq exchange this week. 

During the cryptocurrency exchange’s IPO on Wednesday, Coinbase began trading at $381 a share, more than a 50 percent jump from the reference price of $250 per share established on Tuesday. 

Coinbase rocketed as high as nearly $430 before closing at $328.28 apiece on the first day of trading, according to Yahoo Finance.

Hot Ones ended Season 14 with a sequel to Steve-O's Season 4 appearance, and the Jackass stuntman-turned-comedian and podcaster made sure to end on an eye-watering note. 

For much of the interview, Steve-O was articulate and thoughtful when answering host Sean Evans' questions. He described how he came to "find religion" through the video camera. Instead of having kids to preserve his legacy and/or believing in an immortal afterlife after human death, his vast library of video recordings will be the thing that lives on. 

Steve-O also shared the origin story of his friendship with 50 Cent and described his Monday Night Raw experience as "the worst beating he every took." 

But it was Evans' final question following a Last Dab-coated chicken wing (vegan wing for Steve-O) that elicited the most exciting response.   

"As someone who has experienced every type of physical pain you can possibly think of, what do you think is the best analogy for the 'Wings of Death' on the spectrum of body discomfort," Evans inquired. 

Steve-O somewhat strangely interjected began by declaring Gordon Ramsay the king of Hot Ones, calling the foul-mouthed celebrity chef "an absolute maniac on this show. So I'm not willing to be outdone."

He then proceeded to plug his own hot sauce—Steve-O's Hot Sauce for Your Butthole—by drinking nearly an entire bottle before promptly pouring the rest into his eye. How's that for an analogy.  

Casual fans might have been shocked, but those who have been following Steve-O's shenanigans through the years will know that he pulled the exact same stunt last year...on Gordon Ramsay's Scrambled, no less.

When his company had its first initial public offering (IPO) Wednesday, Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange CEO Brian Armstrong owned about 40 million shares and the company had a beginning valuation of $100 billion. And just like that, Armstrong became one of the wealthiest men in the world.

Coinbase Global, the cryptocurrency exchange (COIN) opened trading at $381 per share, and jumped to $430 before dropping back to $328 and change when the markets closed. "When it comes to Coinbase, this is pretty much the crypto event of the year," said Jean-Marie Mognetti, CEO of CoinShares, a European digital asset manager whose stock recently began trading on the Nasdaq Nordic exchange. "It shows that bitcoin is for everyone."

The IPO also turned Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong into a mega-billionaire. At Wednesday's closing price, his 39.6 million shares are worth just under $13 billion.

Forbes has yet to update its list of billionaires, but Armstrong's fortune would put him just behind Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky.  

Like it or not, crypto is booming. CNN also quoted Rachid Ajaja, CEO of blockchain capital markets firm AllianceBlock, who said that the "Coinbase listing should bring further attention to cryptocurrencies and will help further legitimize it."

Ajaja continued on to say "you also have more and more financial institutions coming into crypto."

Financial institutions and companies like Elon Musk's Tesla Inc., which purchased over $1 billion in Bitcoin in early February and will accept it as another payment method for the EV giant's products.

Early Thursday afternoon Coinbase Global Inc. was trading at $333 a share. But crypto is the wild west, still, and anything could happen.

Who says the Fast & Furious franchise is just about cars? As Tyrese Gibson's Roman points out in this breakneck trailer, the ensemble has "taken out planes, trains, tanks -- I'm not even gonna think about the submarine," but in the end, Diesel's Toretto always growls about "family."

Which Cena's character gives lie to here, telling Toretto, "You always say never turn your back on family, but you turned your back on me."

The synopsis for F9, which thanks to the coronavirus pandemic has had a long and winding road to its upcoming 2021 premiere, tells a little more:

However, there is a moment in this preview that hints they're just straight-up going into space this time, which for any other franchise might be a shark-jump moment. It seems doubtful that will happen here, though; these movies are just too damn fun.

In addition to Diesel, Cena, and Gibson, F9 stars Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron. Justin Lin is the director in charge of destroying all those cars, a job he obviously loves.

The images have proven controversial, with some even calling for her banning from the entire continent. But in a lengthy interview with the Daily Mail, Fialova defended her actions thoroughly, claiming they have an overall positive effect on local wildlife. 

"I plan to continue uploading as much content as possible so that I'm able to fund the veterinary care for animals in need because this is why I started off my journey in the first place - to help and protect the animals."

Fialova's hunting indirectly benefits animals by generating funding for veterinary care. But bloodsport also helps directly, as culling certain animals through trophy hunting helps balance the ecosystem. The notion has been accepted by biologists and environmental organizations, including the Property and Environment Research Center

"I began getting interested in the conservation of animals by hunting and I studied this at university as it was my dream career as I got older," Fialova said. 

"At age twenty-four, I moved to South Africa to start my career as a conservationist where a typical day involved studying the animal that we wanted to manage and then stalking out the herds to detect the weak and old members, which we then hunt down."

"You don't want overpopulation - especially in the wild - as it can lead to a struggle for water and food if there's too many of the same species, which is why I do what I do."

Fialova also trains extensively with a rifle to ensure she can take a humane, one-shot kill that mitigates suffering. 

"Once we detect the members of the herd to cull, we then detect members that have strong genetics and therefore need to be taken care of for sustainable population growth," she explained. 

In addition to hunting for population control, she protects animals from illegal poachers, namely rhinos. 

"As well as weeding out disease and overpopulation, I also protect animals such as rhinos from poachers. We do this by shooting down the rhino with a dart which puts them to sleep and then we proceed to dehorn them. 

"I know some people might see this as cruel," she added, "But it enables the rhinos to populate successfully without being badly hurt by poachers in the future."

Her conservation efforts can be costly, which is why her OnlyFans success could become crucial. 

"This process can cost anywhere between three-thousand to seven-thousand pounds per rhino, which used to be fine when the private reservation I work for used to have an income from commercial hunting - but due to Covid, this has declined."

Fialova's friend suggested she start an OnlyFans in March of 2021 as a side hustle, and she promptly banked her first $4,100. 

"I was over-the-moon that I was finally able to donate money to my reservation which desperately needed some new tactical vests for some rangers," she said.

The Ford Bronco: Cult classic, California dreamin’, object of desire for the dude looking to add a retro beach-buggy to his collection. Unlike that dude, I’ve never been a Porsche 911 guy (the engine is in the wrong place), worn a Rolex, or shopped at Brioni. 

But I sort of like the Bronco beach buggy idea anyway, and have driven a couple of expensively rebuilt ones with six-figure refit tickets that draw crowds. Both were complete pigs to drive, bouncing along on their lifted suspension like over-filled space-hoppers with handling like sick on a plate…but they looked good doing it.

So I was intrigued to see that Ford had launched a new Bronco with styling cues from the cult classic. And promises of a juiced-up off-road rally car version with Raptor parts perhaps called the “Warthog” (hopefully named for the awesome USAF plane as much as the sub-saharan wild pig.) 

That is the one I really wanted to drive; to see if it would be a good fit for our annual pilgrimage to Zambia in Africa to compete in the extreme 4x4 off-road rally, the “Elephant Charge” which raises money for conservation and elephants. But alas, the Warthog is as yet mere whispers in the gossip of the automotive world.

So I was given an Outer Banks specification of the Bronco's baby brother, the 2021 Bronco Sport, to test ($36,045 as tested.) It seemed only fitting to take it to the OBX for a ride with the horses on the beach just north of Duck, NC. That gave me ample time on the highway, the shopping run, off-road, and in torrential rain, not to mention in ECO mode to see if I could eke out the NYC to Duck run on one tank of gas (I couldn’t.)

The Bronco Sport is no supercar, and neither is it pretending to be one. In the specification it was delivered it’s more of a school-run, shopping, soccer-mom car. But in that context and all things considered it does a bang up job, and then some. 

In “Sand” mode on the beach in Corolla we moved along nicely without even letting any air out of the tires. No mean feat when lifted, juiced up, redneck-mobiles with fancy tires and suspension were getting stuck in the calf-deep soft sand every few yards. And in sideways rain on the freeway it felt glued to the road in “Slippery” mode.

The great bones that are here would seem to be a cool platform for more interesting things to come. At least if you are pondering swash-buckling adventures in places far-flung and unknown. In the meantime before the Warthog or whatever it ends up being called arrives, the Bronco Sport is a great doorway to access retro-cool in a package that actually works and is fun to drive. Have at it.

Sylvester Stallone will not be in Creed III, and Michael B. Jordan decided to address the absence in an interview published by IGN. Jordan spoke to the publication to promote his new Amazon Prime movie, Tom Clancy's Without Remorse. Regarding Stallone and the upcoming sequel, here's what he said:

"Yeah, I think that Sly let it be known that he wasn’t coming back for this one but I think, you know, his essence and his spirit… there’s always going to be a little bit of Rocky within Adonis," Jordan said.

"But this is a Creed franchise, and we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward. So, it’s always respect and always a shit-ton of love for what he’s built, but we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So, hopefully, you guys will love what I’m thinking… what we’re cooking up. I think it’s going to be something special."

The Hollywood Reporter received confirmation Stallone wasn't taking part via one of his reps, who indicated the 74-year-old would "not take part in the MGM boxing installment, but no additional explanation was offered."

Stallone, meanwhile, has been working on a new cut of Rocky IV and may eventually bring us a Rocky prequel series set in the 1960s

Creed III, directed by and starring Michael B. Jordan, is slated to hit theaters in November 2022.

Kanye West's Grammy-worn Nike Air Yeezy 1 Prototypes are expected to usurp Michael Jordan's game-worn AJ1's to become the most expensive sneakers ever sold. 

Sotheby's auction house is selling the pre-production Yeezys as a direct purchase with an estimated value of $1 million-plus. Their sale should easily best MJ's signed Air Jordan 1's, which fetched $560,000 after a bidding war at a Sotheby's auction in 2020.   

After more than a year of rumors regarding a West-designed sneaker, the rapper, fashion designer and entrepreneur publicly debuted the remarkable kicks at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in 2008 during his live "Hey Mama"/"Stronger" medley. 

He won four awards, but eagle-eyed hypebeasts and sneakerheads were focused solely on the shoes as they frantically—and unsuccessfully—attempted to identify the silhouette on social media. 

West and footwear guru Mark Smith created the sample at Nike HQ's "Innovation Kitchen" lab in Beaverton, Oregon. The upper is comprised of soft black leather with perforated detailing, and the heel overlay is branded with a tonal Swoosh. 

Other hallmark elements include the now-iconic Yeezy forefoot strap and signature "Y" medallion lace locks in bright pink. They're presented in a custom lasered wooden box featuring etching by Smith.

On the island of Islay, you’ll find distinctive Scotch whisky that’s among the best in the world, and Laphroaig is taking things a step further with the release of its new Laphroaig 10-Year Sherry Oak Finish.

The difference here is all in the details and the process. As for the the adage that you shouldn’t fix what isn’t broken, well, that’s getting put up on the shelf for now. The Laphroaig Distillery took its iconic 10-year-old whisky and aged it in carefully selected Oloroso Sherry casks for 12 to 18 months, adding what the distillery says is both complexity and balance.

The overall character of the newest Laphroaig launch is like a beach bonfire doused in honey, and if that doesn’t sound pretty appealing after a long, cold winter, then we’d say you need to make some additions to your bar cart ASAP. But hurry: Only 4,450 cases are available globally.

The aging process is a covetable and worthwhile approach that lends itself to nose notes of Manuka honey and an aroma of cloves, with palate notes of toffee, rich wax and maple syrup, among others. The finish, the distillery says, is both sweet and spicy, a nice blend of the aforementioned complexity and balance for the fan of Laphroaig or the newfound enthusiast.

“This is a perfect accompaniment to any whisky collection and a celebrated expansion of the Laphroaig range,” said Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell. “Laphroaig drinkers are the most passionate Scotch drinkers in the world and with this new offering, we're delighted to give them another Scotch option that embraces our commitments to craftsmanship and innovation."

Laphroaig recommends serving this neat, with ice or a drop of water, all the better to savor the nuanced flavor and depth. The Sherry cask aging process also imparts the finished product with a nice sweetness, one that might be more appealing if you haven’t gotten around to finding a Scotch you enjoy just yet.

It helps that Laphroaig 10-Year Sherry Oak Finish is accessibly priced at a suggested retail price of $89.99, and it’s a nice way to add some variety to a well-stocked bar cart for spring and summer sipping.

Nike got into hot water with the USPS after announcing a postal-themed Air Force 1. However, this slight twist on the truly iconic silhouette is completely clean—visually and legally. 

The all-white colorway is faithful to its heritage, as are the padded low-cut collar, baller-approved cushioning,  and prominent Swoosh logo.

As Hypebeast notes, there are a few slight variations that sneakerheads are sure to notice. The upper's leather is tumbled for a bumpy texture, rather than smooth. The bottom lace is also tagged with a brass deubre that adds just a dollop of bling. 

Aside from the metal accessory, the only other non-white feature is the black print on the insole. The kicks are also available in a "Team Red" scheme, which highlights the tongue text, swoosh and heel counter in red.

In 2018, the classic Midwestern chain famous for steakburgers and milkshakes made a startling decision: franchise company-owned Steak ‘n Shake restaurants for a total investment of only $10,000. To borrow a phrase from QSR magazine, this owner-operator opportunity can be dubbed a "Burger Gold Rush".

How much money are franchise partners making?

In 2020, the average franchise partner earned $161,079 with some on track to make more than $300,000 in their first year alone. We spoke with Press McDowell, a St. Louis, Missouri franchise partner, who shared, “I earned in two months what I made in a year at my previous job.”

When asked about the $10,000 one-time cost to join the program, he stated, “It is the best investment I have made in my life… [I made] close to 20 times that amount in the first year.” 

Says Steak ‘n Shake CEO Sardar Biglari, "Doubtless, a good number of our partners will become millionaires. But make no mistake: We are not minting millionaires but are merely providing the means—they are earning every penny."

It’s the lowest-cost restaurant franchise in America

In traditional restaurant franchises like McDonald’s or Wendy’s, the upfront costs can be upwards of $2 million, not including the time required to find land, build a restaurant and hire and train staff. 

Steak ‘n Shake’s franchise partner program, in contrast, costs only $10,000. “Other franchises have such a big barrier with high investment costs,” McDowell points out. “Steak ‘n Shake has a small upfront investment; and within the first month, I made that money back. I consider this investment a blessing.”

It is important to understand that the program is different than most traditional franchise arrangements. “A franchise partnership is a passport that cannot be purchased but only earned. It takes talent along with the passion to serve others, a rare combination that is woven into the character of each individual we accept,” added Biglari. 

Upon acceptance into the program, you go through a multi-week training program and must have your restaurant meet the gold standard in service.

It's tough to get in


Since the program began in 2018, Steak ‘n Shake has received over 35,000 applications, with only 86 being accepted. With an approval rate of under 1%, the program has a lower acceptance rate than Harvard Business School. Ironically, Harvard MBA’s earn about the same $160,000 in first-year pay as Steak ‘n Shake franchise partners.

So, what does it take? According to the company, franchise partners are self-starters, have a passion for excellence, and are fanatical about pleasing customers. Restaurant management experience is not a requirement. 

No absentee ownership

Steak ‘n Shake franchise partners cannot have additional business ventures; they run the day-to-day business. No absentee ownership here and 60-hour work weeks are initially the norm. 

“This is your restaurant. So a lot of times you think you’re going to have to be here 24 hours a day…. Which is true at the beginning,” says Alok Shivpuri, a Dallas franchise partner. 

“But if you’re a smart operator, you build your restaurant and put systems in place, it gives you more time to spend with your family, not less.” He adds, “If you really think about the hours you are putting in... you’re already putting those hours in within the restaurant business, but this time you’re doing it for yourself, so you get the full benefit and rewards of the work you’re putting in—and the money is endless.”

Too good to be true?

Simply put, Steak n shake is looking to create the world’s greatest culture in the hospitality industry. “In the end, nothing is as important as the way our customers are treated. It takes the right leadership in a unit for customers to be served in a warm, caring, and hospitable manner, said Biglari. 

"To achieve our goal, we are building a culture of ownership at the unit level. For operators to think and act like owners, we believe they must be owners. We are becoming a company of owners, changing the culture of the organization in our quest for service excellence.” 

Of course it helps that the company is on solid financial footing. Steak ‘n Shake recently announced on twitter that it is one of the few debt-free restaurant chains in America.

Bentley continues to blend quintessentially British luxobarge properties with a teacup-tipping top end in the 2022 Continental GT Speed Convertible

Don't let the luscious lines and luxurious appointments deceive—this open-top grand tourer is easily in the 200-mph club, with a max speed of 208. The 6.0-liter W12, which Bentley claims is the "world's most advanced 12-cylinder," is up-tuned to crank out 650 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. 

A sprint to 60 mph takes 3.5 seconds, even while weighing well over 5,000 pounds. That feat is achieved in Sport mode, which enables the dual-clutch eight-speed to shift twice as quickly. 

But performance in only part of the story. Speed-exclusive design elements include a dark-tinted radiator matrix and grilles, special sports sills, and badging on the fender. A set of 22-inch rims are color-matched to the dark tint with either silver or black gloss finishes. There are other upscale aesthetic features, include blingy "Jewel" gas and oil caps, and an illuminated "Bentley" display on the outer treadplate. 

The Z-top, which can be stowed or deployed in 19 seconds, is available in seven colors, including "'traditional British tweed"—provided art sadly doesn't showcase the curiously-named hue. The roof's sealing system, operating mechanism and insulation have been overhauled to create a quiet cabin experience that rivals the coupe's.  

Speaking of, the handcrafted cockpit features an Alcantara-wrapped heated steering wheel and a dizzying number of 15 main and 11 secondary available leather upholstery combinations. Piano Black veneer is standard, with Crown Cut, Dark Stain Burr Walnut and Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus offered as no-cost options. 

Those who don't mind spending above the base price can opt for Open-pore Dark Stain Burr Walnut veneer, Crown-Cut Walnut, or Koa wood trims.

Other luxe interior features include neck-warming, heated and vented seats, heated armrests, Bentley’s famous ‘bullseye’ vents, and an optional aluminum console. 

Pricing has yet to be announced, but The Drive expects the 2022 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible to cost more than the coupe, which starts at $274,900.

White Claw, one of the first major players in the ever-popular hard seltzer game, is rolling out a stronger "Surge" version of its low-carb alcoholic drink.

The boozier bubbly ups the alcohol content from 5 to 8 percent ABV and increases the can size from 12 to 16 ounces. Each serving contains just two carbohydrates, but the extra alcohol and volume take the calorie count from 100 to 220. Two flavors will be available at launch—Blood Orange and Cranberry.  

Hypebeast reports that White Claw is also launching a new Flavor Collection No. 3 variety pack featuring the fan-favorite Mango, as well as new Strawberry, Pineapple and Blackberry variants. Each 12-ounce can weighs in at the familiar 5-percent ABV. 

While White Claw definitely helped make hard seltzer a staple beverage in college dorms and calorie counters' households, the trendy brand isn't the first to strengthen its formula. Four Loko makes a 12-percent hard seltzer, while PBR's "Stronger Seltzer" and Bud Light's "Platinum Seltzer" both match White Claw Surge at 8 percent.

After Game of Thrones, the romantic comedy Me Before You and a key role in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Emilia Clarke has essentially landed in true crime reenactment territory in the upcoming crime drama, Above Suspicion--co-starring a grizzled Johnny Knoxville. Watch the movie's new trailer above.

Here's the synopsis from Lionsgate:

Based on the true story of one of the most notorious crimes in FBI history, this gritty crime-thriller stars Emilia Clarke (“Game of Thrones”) as Susan Smith, a young woman desperate to escape a seedy life of crime and drugs in a Kentucky coal mining town.

When a newly minted FBI agent named Mark Putnam (Jack Huston, “Fargo”) recruits Susan as his informant for a high-profile case, she believes her bad luck may finally be changing. But as Susan and Putnam’s relationship deepens, so does the danger, setting them both on a collision course with deadly consequences.

It'd be a bad idea to google the case if you don't want spoilers, for one of the reasons this true crime tale was worth a cinematic treatment featuring a sexy lead like Clarke is how twisty it was--something the trailer cleverly nods to in making Clarke's character seem like a country femme fatale, shouting lines like "This ain't no way to treat your star witness," in a wild rage. 

Told properly, this is a true tale in which the victims and the villains are not exactly who you might assume they are.

Above Suspicion, based on a 1993 true crime novel with the same title, also stars Knoxville, Jack Huston, Sophie Lowe, and Thora Birch.

To a southerner's ears, Clarke's backwoods accent sounds like yet another Hollywood generic twang (there really isn't one single southern American accent, but Tinseltown thinks there is), but her look is pretty perfect for the story, and it calls for dramatic chops the British actress proved she had time and again as Khaleesi in Game of Thrones.

Above Suspicion will be available in select theaters and via On Demand on May 7th--it comes out on Blu-ray and DVD May 18, 2021.

Announced last week during the virtual edition of the Watches and Wonders luxury timepiece event, the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept is as unexpected as it is savvy and technically advanced. For starters, and perhaps most noticeably, there’s no logo or indices to be found on this watch, just the 60-second flying tourbillon.

And another thing: The Endeavour’s tourbillon device quite literally defies gravity, using a regulating organ and an escapement that rotate with precision around a central axis. The dial is also unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, featuring the semi-precious stone Tiger’s Eye.

The red-hued iteration, our favorite, is known as Ox Eye’s and features a rose gold case on an alligator leather strap. The Endeavour Tourbillon Concept also comes in a blue-hued Falcon’s Eye dial, itself a variation of Tiger’s Eye, on a handsome blue alligator leather strap.

Because these stones are so distinctive, and because the watches themselves feature a dial with parallel lines, H. Moser says it’s aiming to produce about 20 watches per year. Talk about precision and attention to detail. And the going price? $75,900.

Tiger’s Eye has symbolized self-confidence and is thought to guarantee protection (soldiers from the Roman Empire even wore the stone around their necks). It’s a history that’s not lost on the makers of these finely crafted, exceptional watches. 

“It is a dynamic stone which seems to come to life as it catches the light. The richness of its details are revealed gradually,” said H. Moser & Cie. CEO Edouard Meylan. “It must be admired from different angles to fully appreciate its beauty.”

A watch that requires a second or third, or fourth look, plus a deep appreciation for craft and quite a bit of ingenuity? That’s quite fitting coming from a company that trolled the Apple Watch, but the Endeavour Concept Tourbillon stands on its own.

Car company-influenced architecture is having a moment recently, from Aston Martin's first ever private home, GMC's Hummer EV-housing garage/getaway hybrid, and now Bentley's first branded residence. 

The British luxobarge marque announced a partnership with South Florida's Dezer Development to break ground on a 60-story luxury apartment building in Miami as early as 2023. 

Towering 749 feet above the coastal city's Sunny Isle Beach, the property will feature 200 private units, each of which will get its own in-home multi-car garage accessible from the ground via a patented vehicle elevator. 

The building's cylindrical form and floor-to-ceiling windows also allow for every apartment to enjoy ocean and bayside views, as well as a private balcony. 

Interiors will contain sustainably sourced constructions and finishes. Bentley and the developer are working within Florida Green Building Council certification and other environmental regulations to ensure the use of safe building materials and minimize the impact on local wildlife. 

Additional luxe amenities will include a pool, sauna, outdoor shower, community gym, spa, whisky bar and restaurant. 

No more details were provided, but Bentley Residences is slated for completion by 2026.

Dustin Poirier called out Conor McGregor on Twitter over a donation the MMA superstar once said he'd give to Poirier's The Good Fight Foundation charity. McGregor never paid and admitted as much. However, Poirier may have lost a chance to complete his tied-up fight trilogy with The Notorious One, as McGregor tweeted early Monday that he will "fight someone else" at UFC 264 "on the 10th."

The back story: When the two lightweight fighters were doing press for UFC 257, the match where Poirier flattened the Irishman--virtually assuring a third go-around--McGregor said he would give $500,000 to The Good Fight Foundation, a legit and registered 501(c)(3) Louisiana nonprofit serving the state's underprivileged youth.

In fact, McGregor publicly claimed he'd pony up the half-million several times, but Poirier, in responding to a previous tweet from McGregor bragging about how the match would go for him this time, let it be known that didn't happen. 

McGregor fired back, basically saying their people had been in touch regarding the charity but that he didn't give out donations unless he knew exactly where they were going. That led to this exchange.

McGregor was clearly feeling like Poirier was smearing him in a way that was out-of-bounds for the UFC and that was when he posted the tweet ending with "The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract kid."

Poirier came right back with one word, "Ok," and a short video clip of the end of their second match, in which he literally pounded McGregor to the mat.

TMZ noted that despite what McGregor wrote in his tweets, "the UFC posted an article about Dustin's charity back in January, spelling out how donations have been used over the years."

In that article, UFC writer Gavin Porter dropped this list of contributions from The Good Fight in 2020 alone:

  • Provided years’ worth of transitional car seats for families in need
  • Provided over a thousand warm meals for healthcare workers and first responders
  • Donated to several non-profits, including the Lebanon Red Cross following the explosion in Beirut
  • Donated infant necessities to mothers displaced during Hurricane Laura
  • Provided tools and supplies to assist with the clean-up of hurricane debris in Lake Charles
  • Hosted a fundraising event to raise money for St. Jude’s Research Hospital
  • Donated toys and clothing to The Hub Lafayette

UFC 264 is still set to happen on July 10, 2021 in Las Vegas at full capacity, said UFC boss Dana White in a Twitter video after McGregor's outburst.

The series between McGregor and Poirier currently stands at 1-1. McGregor scored a first-round knockout over Poirier when they were both featherweights in 2014, but Poirier avenged that loss in their rematch in January.

Persol is putting a new spin on its iconic 714 sunglasses worn by Steve McQueen's dashing thief in 1968's The Thomas Crown Affair.

The Italian luxury eyewear maker just launched the 714 Steve McQueen Special Edition series. Five color combinations are available, but discerning fans of the so-called "King of Cool" might opt for the yellow version with sky blue lenses. 

That colorway is a nod to McQueen's first plane, a Boeing Stearmen, seen in the above archival photo provided by Persol. 

Other frame and polarized lens combos include light Havana with light blue, Havana with green, and black with smoke gray. 

To ensure a level of exclusivity, Persol is also making a Steve McQueen Special Edition with platinum-plated lenses and light Havana frames in limited numbers. 

All are packaged in a clean, color-matched box with sparse white text reading, "There's timeless. And there's 714 Steve McQueen."? As always, the model is manufactured according to Persol's rigid standards with original acetates, steel hinges and crystal lenses.

Audemars Piguet (AP) and Marvel have revealed the first product of their new partnership, the Royal Oak ConceptBlack Panther” Flying Tourbillon. The reveal doubles as the launch of a partnership that will produce more Marvel-inspired luxe timepieces in the future.

AP introduced the Black Panther Tourbillon at a Saturday press conference hosted by the watchmaker's CEO, François-Henry Bennahmias. Hollywood star power added some oomph to the event, which also featured Kevin Hart, Serena Williams, and LeBron James, to name a few. 

Audemars Piguet assembled an expert team of engravers and artists to make 250 of these complex and carefully designed watches. Together they had to design new watchmaking tools in order to insert the finely detailed miniature sculpture of the Black Panther on the watch face. 

The Royal Oak Concept “Black Panther” Flying Tourbillon's distinctive purple and black color scheme was inspired by the superhero and has been organically woven into the watches' engineering. 

The front and back of the watch feature purple accents that match the rubber strap. A precisely laser-carved and hand-painted white gold image of the Black Panther in action dominates the dial. There are tantalizing views of the Flying Tourbillon's structure featuring titanium bridges and the sandblasted titanium case integrates a sapphire crystal offset by the black ceramic bezel.

And at just 10 pounds the SRS-RA5000 travels easily and is compact enough fit on a coffee table, or, if you’re old school, in the open trunk of a car. It’s like a block party in a can. 

What’s more, thanks to Sony’s so-called “unique spatial sound technologies,” the SRS-RA5000 can be instantly calibrated with the tap of a finger so the audio is optimized for the surrounding environment, whether that’s your living room or a warehouse.

All of that being said, the good folks at Sony would like us to remind you that large gatherings are still a big no-no. In press material for the SRS-RA5000, the Japanese-based company, which has seen its profits soar in the age of business pajamas and Zoom happy hours, opines that “because of its immersive qualities, we think this speaker offers a great way to create a live music feel, all in the comfort (and safety) of home.” 

Noble though their intentions may be, Sony’s press team seems to have forgotten that the speaker they’re promoting here could probably trigger an avalanche. Many consumers don’t live in homes big or remote enough to accommodate all that awesome power.

For example, when tested in an average-sized New York City apartment, the SRS-RA5000 could only be turned up to about half volume before this reviewer started to worry that the cops would show up the door. Still, that was loud enough to illuminate what makes the SRS-RA5000 worthy of its hefty $700 price tag. 

Even at wall-rattling decibels, the sound remains crystal clear, its depth and nuance not merely preserved but accentuated as the volume increases. Cranked up all the way, the SRS-RA5000 may explode your eardrums, but at least you’d go deaf enjoying every bell, whistle and tambourine rattle of whatever song you decided was worth sacrificing your ability to hear for. 

In that regard, the SRS-RA5000 is a significant upgrade from more affordable Bluetooth speakers, like the JBL Flip 5 or Sony’s own SRS-XB33. The difference is very noticeable.

So it is worth the investment? If you live in a sprawling abode or plan to throw some serious ragers this summer, and still have some of that stimulus money left to burn, sure. You won’t be disappointed. But if it’s the “live music” experience you’re after, well, you just might have to wait for the real deal.

According to a new poll, nearly half of all Americans—46%—would vote for action star and former pro wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson if he ran for president. The most interesting thing about that poll? Johnson did not disavow it or play it down. In fact, he seemed to embrace it in his social media posts.

In his photo caption, Johnson wrote:

I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club - but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people 🙏🏾💪🏾🇺🇸

Not a real full-throated denial of the possibility there. Another celeb famous for his action chops, Chris Evans (Captain America himself), got in on the fun in Johnson's Instagram comments, asking if The Rock had "thought about a running mate?? :)"

The Rock's Young Rock on NBC is a fictionalized, funny look at his life from childhood on, and one of its framing devices is Johnson crisscrossing the United States as he campaigns for president in 2032. Even if that story element wasn't The Rock's idea—and for all we know it was—it does a good job of putting the image into people's minds.

Piplsay polled 30,000 US citizens to find out how many would support a President Rock. The poll was titled, "Hollywood celebs as politicians: What do Americans think of it?"

Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey also did well in the same poll, especially among Millennials. Here are a few more insights from Piplsay:

  • 40% of Millennials would support both McConaughey and Johnson’s entry into politics as compared to 37% of Gen Xers and 23% of Gen Zers
  • 35% of Millennials and Gen Xers think Hollywood stars can make good politicians as compared to 30% of Gen Zers
  • 51% of men and 49% of women believe celebrity opinions and endorsements influence public opinion
  • Will Smith is the most popular choice for president among both Millennials and Gen Zers, while Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie are top female choices for Gen Zers and Millennials, respectively

Johnson has been flirting with a run for president for quite some time, even as he managed to somehow seem pretty apolitical compared to many in Hollywood, which is largely—but not completely—dominated by progressives. In February 2021 he told USA Today that he "would consider a presidential run in the future if that's what the people wanted." 

"Truly I mean that and I'm not flippant in any way with my answer," he said, "That would be up to the people...So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground."

So will he actually do it? The Rock is pretty good at keeping all his projects under wraps till he's ready to drop the big reveal, so it's still anyone's guess. But regardless of your political affiliation, it's hard to disagree with the fact he talks a good game since all many people want in a politician is someone who truly gives a damn about their needs.

Only the Secret Service might object, since what do you do with a candidate or elected official who could probably take care of himself in a bad situation better than an entire squad of agents? 

The Rock's next big movie is set to be Black Adam, which is slated for release July 29, 2022. 

After that, it's anyone's guess as to what he'll do.

Renowned Scotch brand Highland Park has released an incredible 50-year-old single malt scotch whisky for only the third time in the distillery’s history.

Highland Park 50 Year Old is a rare whisky: only 274 bottles of the 2021 are being made available, clocking in with an impressive price of $30,000 retail.

The distillery created this 50-year-old batch from nine refill oak casks laid down in 1968, which were then married together in 2008 (at age 40) into new barrels, where they aged for an additional 12 years. Then came a little magic, via some special liquid that was added to the batch.

“I introduced a small quantity of this cask to some of our 2018 batch of 50 Year Old,” explains Highland Park Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion, “which I’d held back specifically for this purpose, to create a further layer of depth and complexity. 

As the 2018 50 Year Old also contains some of our 2010 batch of 50 Year Old – our first in the series - this approach allows me to maintain the core DNA of our oldest Highland Park whisky through each extremely limited batch release.”

In other words, this 2021 batch has been created using the 2018 release as one of its components. 50 years of age on a single malt whisky would be enough to demand those prices today, but this bottle’s value is backed by pedigree from the inclusion of the 2018 liquid.

“The whisky is spectacular,” explains Motion. “When I sampled the whisky, [it] had absorbed the rich sherried flavours of dried fruit and sweet toffee from its final first-fill cask maturation, but still retained all the delicate fragrance and flavours driven by the original refill casks.”

Official tasting notes describe the whisky as “Intensely rich, sweet and fragrant,” with, “Black cherries, muscovado sugar, peaches soaked in alcohol, dark chocolate, exotic spices, candied orange peel, roasted oak, ripe apricots, espresso coffee, light peat smoke.”

Built as a collector’s package, the Highland Park liquid is presented in a hand-made walnut box crafter by master craftsman John Galvin, within a specially designed bottle. It comes with a crystal decanter and leatherbound book detailing the history of the whiskies.

Highland Park 50 Year Old is bottled at 43.8 percent ABV, and is available internationally now through a limited number of specialist retailers. Each bottle has been personally signed by Gordon Motion, the Highland Park Master Whisky Maker.
